Because we use naturally cured mountain timber of 14-19% average moisture content, our packages will only have about 1/2" - 1" of settlement in a 10 foot wall. Allowance for settlement is achieved by using post adjusters at structural bearing points and settlement spaces over windows and at interior wall locations.

At every stage in production, logs or timbers are checked for quality and accuracy of cut length. All of our pre-cut log and timber packages are graded by trained professional graders. Logs are grade-stamped as required by local codes or upon client's request. Grading logs and timbers assures that the package is structurally sound as to the amount of knots, straightness of grain, minimal splits, and no rot. Grading also assures that checks, which are a normal presence in logs, are not weakening the log structurally.
