As we
begin the design process we utilize your memories, thoughts, photos, and ideas
(or one of our stock floor
plans)
to bring together your selection of features.
Good space utilization, aesthetically
pleasing features, engineering for structural integrity to meet your building
locations' snow, wind, and seismic loads, the Uniform Building Code,
industry-established requirements, and finally locally sensitive and
appropriate building practices all go into the design process. All plans
that we design are reviewed for structural
soundness
and approval and then stamped by a professional engineer. |

To
begin the design process, a deposit of $1.95 per square foot of living area is
required. Living area includes the main floor + loft/second floor +
living area above garage + "finished" basement. Preliminary
floor plans are generated providing you the opportunity to redline for
revisions.
Once the floor plan is approved
by you, we generate completed floor plans, elevation
drawings, cross sections, and foundation
drawings. This process can take 4 weeks (or more) depending upon
the pace at which your redlining decisions are made and returned to our design
department and the complexity of your project. Upon your final approval,
a log cut sheet is developed. |
